Marc Burchette, the lead orchid gardener for the Biltmore Estate will be speaking about Habanerias at the February meeting. Marc has been growing orchids since 1991 and is one of the leading creative forces behind the Western NC Orchid Society’s award winning displays. Marc moved to North Carolina from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where he had worked at G.E.M. Orchids in Delray Beach. In 2012, Marc secured a position with the Biltmore Estate as their orchid specialist where he maintains the Biltmore’s orchid collection and provides blooming plants 365 day a year for the estate’s conservatory.

Visitors are welcome to come and enjoy his presentation. Free and open to the public at the JC Raulston Arboretum Education Building.

Marc will not be selling plants at the meeting.
