Save the date! The Triangle Orchid Society is excited to announce our 2023 show in cooperation with JC Raulston Arboretum:
Consider yourself invited to come out and enjoy amazing displays filled with orchids from all around the world! Our show is open to the public and sanctioned by The American Orchid Society.
You can purchase plants from vendors and learn more about growing and blooming orchids from members of the Triangle Orchid Society. We will have exhibits from orchid societies across the region.
Admission is FREE!

Triangle Orchid Society Members: Please consider volunteering a small part of your time to help make this show a success! If you haven’t seen it in the past, we typically have around 7 other regional societies join us in creating a room full of displays filled with over 200 blooming orchids. It’s a large undertaking, but oh so worth it!
You do NOT need to be an orchid expert to be of help – there are a wide range of jobs suited for all sorts of folks. Many of the volunteer jobs we need help with involve loading the show in and out of the room, helping keep the volunteers fed (especially during setup on Thursday), recording raffle ticket sales, or greeting our guests and distributing ‘People’s Choice’ voting ballots to the public — none of which requires any specialized orchid or orchid show experience.
If you do have a little orchid knowledge under your belt (or are excited to learn more!), we’re also recruiting ribbon judging clerks, who assist the judges on Friday morning. It’s a great way to learn more about orchids, and also to see what makes a 1st place plant.
If you can just volunteer for one or two shifts, it will be an immense help to the society and our efforts to teach the public about orchids and share our passion for these awesome plants. Thank you!!!
