Orchid Shows

Triangle Orchid Society (Exhibit 1)

These displays can be as small as a tabletop or as large as a floor display. These displays give the visitors the opportunity to see a wide variety of beautiful blooming orchids, some of which could be quite rare or unusual.

The Triangle Orchid Society organizes an annual orchid show happening over several days and staffed entirely by volunteers. Participating societies come from South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. AOS judging is a great benefit of the show. Plants are nominated for review by the judges, who with their vast knowledge of Orchid species and hybrids, evaluate the nominations to see if they are worthy of an AOS award.

Other features of the local show are the chance to mingle with knowledgeable orchidists, attend workshops on all facets of orchid culture and purchase unusual orchids and merchandise from selected vendors.

TOS members are also encouraged to participate in building displays to take to other regional orchid shows after having been trained in the process.
